We are proud to be Indians, inhabitants of Sovereign, Socialist Republic of India and to be more precise having a legacy of Great Dynasty, rich cultural and social hierarchy . We thank God and are grateful to His forgiveness that we are the people belonging to the social sect of Chauhans. To introduce ourselves as a cross-section of people, mostly belonging to Eastern part of Uttar Pradesh, Western Bihar, and some part of Madhya Pradesh having a rich tribute of inherited sophisticacy.

Our origin could be very well traced down to Majestic Rajashthan , and in chronology it could be rooted to golden period of Rajputs  in the Hindu-Heartland of Rajputana(Rajasthan). Of course, during degradation of socio-economic stability after Golden era of Gupta Dynasty in India, that led to social and cultural turmoil, our forefathers were uprooted and were forced to migrate to other places where their integrity and serenity could be saved and be kept intact against all the odds.  That was the period,   when the western borders of India were aggrieved by different aggressive clan agglomerated with cultures having different  religious faiths, Hoona, Turks and Muslims. When we were not able to safeguard our territories and faith and fathom blooming unto them, we were forced to migrate to Terrain of  Ganga-Yamuna Basin. Reason to choose this geographical terrain was to settle on the banks of river, water was the most urgent resource at that time.

In order to save the serenity, racial sanctity  and the purity of blood, our people were not ready to intermingle with locals and devised a procedure of Baans, one specific for each  family- tree. Now, again this degenerated with Kula-Gotra etc to specify them out of social fabric. This gestation period took over 800 years of the history. Perhaps this itself mystifies the fact that we don’t have any Gotra system today or ‘Sagotry’ marriage are prevalent.

After Independence, in order to keep pace with other societies we have also advanced and of course, reformed ourselves. Various social activities took place and one of it was the formation of Akhil Bhartiya Chauhan  Mahasabha and its representative State level body . In Mumbai, long back in 1978 few dignitaries of society made a platform for social and cultural reform. For several years this platform fetched various aspects of social unification. The most eminent achievement of this mahasabha was that our people started taking pride in being called as Chauhans. You must be aware of the earlier history, we don’t want to repeat it. In a long run procrastination and lethargy overtook the functionary of it.  To end the stagnation at various levels of this platform a New Horizon under the banner of Prantiya Chauhan Sanstha was introduced. And it is one of the objectives of our Sanstha to popularize ourselves to grassroots. We are starting Web-page under URL Chauhansanstha. We presume that we will be able to interact with several fellow society men and women who are willing to put their own creative contribution to this society.

Of course, in the due course of time several organizations under the clergy of Chauhan Sanstha and Chauhan Mahasabha are created with different ideologies flooding the scenario but we are having clear distinction of having a unique thought school and

thought process which is the trademark of our sanstha “Ek vikasonmukhi chauhan sangathan” and of course, we have it . The aims and objectives of our Sanstha is as follows:-

  1. To enhance the self-confidence and self- dignity level of our people and earmark  it to new heights.

  2. To inculcate in them and to attain a new horizon towards conscience of Rajputs.

  3. To emancipate the  social-evils like alcoholism and gambling and to accentuate the moral and ethical values in them.

  4. To eradicate the social-evils of Dowry system and juvenile marriage etc. and to propagate/popularize practice of economical marriages.

  5. Solicit a Society sans of Dowry System and enunciate those who refuse dowry, aequo animo.

Our vision for years to come is to establish a reputed and Unique Chauhan Sanstha which could be able to guide our fellow society people to social, cultural, ethical, economic and political forums and platforms and inculcate in them the habits equivalent  of other progressive societies so that our own people may come at fore and lead others.

We have defragmented  our goals on following points:-

  1. We will publish a brief concise on family details (parivarik vivaran) in the month of June’2010. The idea behind it is to prepare a database of all  chauhan families, which will include their family particulars, full address, education, profession and contact number etc. This computer database will be available on our official website www.Chauhansanstha.com/www. Chauhansamaj.com and www.prantiyachauhansanstha.com, all the URLs will lead you on the same website. On the basis of this database, back office will assign each chauhan family a   Unique Identification Number . Anyone sitting at a remote place can contact us and we will be able to provide him all the details of a particular family or person.

  2. We have reached on an agreement to start our first school by the academic session of 2011. Proposed budget for it was estimated to be around 15 lacks. We have proposed to take plot of land first and then build a school in due course. We appeal to all chauhan family to contribute in it so that our dream can take shape.

  3. We have proposed a Scholarship Scheme from 15th August’2010 for the students of our community. We will conduct an examination based on general knowledge and current affairs in the forenoon of the day itself,  results will be declared and scholarship will be distributed on this day. We will constitute a team of teachers for this purpose that will draw a draft proposal and chalk out plan to incept the scheme.

  4. We have to emphasize on the quality and caliber of social programs being held on 15th August. We presume that the parents of students gathered will take care of it and our children will produce an authentic and original concept for cultural and social program.

  5. We propose that Holi Milan should be organized every year in big way and more people should participate in it, to ponder upon intermingling and admixture of cross section of our people.

  6. We propose to organize 26th January as an annual event at our main office in Diva, so that our society become aware of it, and the population living nearby could start acknowledging us.
